Purcell 'Thou knowest, Lord, the secrets of our hearts'
Elmstone Church dates back to Norman times and, unusually for
Anglican churches, is not known to be dedicated to any saint.
Anyone with some choral experience is welcome to join. The music is
below. Please practice in advance as there is only limited rehearsal time on the day.
The dress code is 'Sunday best'—suits or jackets for gentlemen (tie
optional) and anything suitably smart for the ladies. We will not be
robed.
There is no charge to take part. There will be an opportunity for a
voluntary contribution for refreshments and to enable us to make a
donation to the church.
The event is on Sunday 26th October 2025, starting at 2pm for rehearsal, refreshments at 4pm and Evensong at 5pm. Toilet facilities are available.

General
Participants
take part at their own risk, and subject to the venue’s general
regulations for visitors. No liability is accepted for personal
belongings, valuables, or any aspect of travel to the event, or of

These events may include participants under the age of 18 or take
place at venues where children are present. Applicants are
respectfully required to inform the organiser in good time if they have been
associated with any safeguarding issues in the past that might
make it necessary to carry out a risk assessment, or make it
inappropriate for them to attend.
Special requests and medical issues
Please let the organiser know about any special dietary requirements, medical
conditions, mobility issues, or disabilities so that
where possible any necessary provision can be made.
Photography
The organiser may take photographs, video and audio recordings of events and
these may be used in promotional and publicity material, including
online, normally without identifying any individuals by name. You will be given the opportunity to
avoid inclusion in any video or still images, and subject to that,
by joining an event you agree to this process.
Data
Personal data is stored securely and used only to communicate with
you about this event and, subsequently, to inform you about future
With Cheerful Voice events. Data is neither shared, passed on to
anyone else, nor used for any other purpose. If you do not wish to
remain in the database after this event please let the organiser know and
your details will be removed.
